By entering the Bourke Street Bakery 21-Year Design Competition (“Competition”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
Who is eligible to enter
- Subject to clauses 2 and 3, entry is open to residents of New South Wales aged 16 and over.
- Employees of Bourke Street Bakery Pty Ltd (“Promoter”) and their immediate family members are eligible to win the Prize.
The Prize
- The prize (“Prize”) consists of:
– A $500 AUD cash payment;
– The opportunity for the winning design to be featured on Bourke Street Bakery merchandise, including but not limited to t-shirts and tote bags;
– The winner’s name, design and story promoted across Bourke Street Bakery social and digital media channels.
- There will be only one (1) Prize winner selected.
- The Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash (beyond the $500 payment) or other goods.
How to enter the Competition
- The Competition commences at 9am (AEST) on Friday 11 July 2025 and closes at 11:59pm (AEST) on Thursday 8 August 2025 (“Competition Period”).
- To enter the Competition, you must during the Competition Period:
- Create an original design that aligns with the brief outlined on the Bourke Street Bakery website;
- Submit the design via [insert upload link or submission email address here] in the correct file format: [insert format requirements];
- Include your full name, contact details, and a short written explanation behind your design.
- Designs must be original and created by the entrant. Any design that the Promoter deems, in its sole discretion, to be offensive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate will be disqualified.
- Multiple entries per person is permitted.
Judging and winner announcement
- The winner will be selected by Bourke Street Bakery Founders Paul Allam and David McGuinness, based on creative merit, brand fit, and storytelling.
- The judging will take place at the Promoter’s head office, located at 18 Anderson Street, Banksmeadow, New South Wales, and the winner will be notified via email and/or mobile on or after Friday 8 August 2025.
- The name and suburb of the winner may be published on the Bourke Street Bakery website and social media channels, unless the winner opts out of being identified publicly.
- If the winner does not respond by 5pm (AEST) on Thursday 15 August 2025, the Promoter reserves the right to select a new winner.
Ownership and usage rights
- By submitting your entry, you agree that if selected as the winner:
- Your design becomes the property of Bourke Street Bakery Pty Ltd;
- The Promoter may use your design on t-shirts, tote bags, digital media, and other promotional or commercial assets for an unlimited period, royalty-free;
- You grant the Promoter the right to feature your name, story, and artwork across promotional material;
- The Promoter may edit or modify the final design for production purposes, including resizing or colour adjustments.
- All entries, including non-winning entries, become the property of the Promoter and may be used or referenced in future promotional material with appropriate credit.
Privacy
- The Promoter collects personal information to process and administer entries and communicate with entrants.
- Your information will not be shared with any third parties.
- By entering, you agree to receive occasional promotional emails from the Promoter, with the option to unsubscribe at any time.

No liability
- The Promoter is not liable for any entries lost, damaged, misdirected, or delayed due to technical disruptions or issues outside its control.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from the Prize and recommends seeking independent financial advice.
- If the Competition cannot run as planned due to unforeseen events including but not limited to pandemics, cyber attacks, or acts of God, the Promoter reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any technical issues with design file uploads or entry form submissions.
Variation and governing law
- These Terms and Conditions may be amended by the Promoter and published on the Promoter’s website.
- This Competition is governed by the laws of New South Wales, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
