Bourke Street Bakery x Red Mill Rum launch Spiced Rum Butter for hot cross bun season.
Two Sydney neighbours have come together just in time for hot cross bun season. Bourke Street Bakery and Red Mill Rum have teamed up to create a limited-edition Spiced Rum Butter – and it’s exactly what your toasted bun has been waiting for.
Bringing together a shared love of flavour and craft, the butter is made using Red Mill’s Spiced Rum, delivering rich, aromatic notes of warming spice with a deeply nostalgic finish. It’s indulgent, comforting and unmistakably Sydney.
Designed to be generously slathered over Bourke Street Bakery’s hot cross buns, it’s just as good on any number of their other baked good – toast and pastries for a start, or, let’s be honest, straight off the spoon.
Available from 18 February to 6 April 2026, the Spiced Rum Butter can be ordered online from Bourke Street Bakery or picked up at Red Mill’s distillery door (Saturdays only if you want to grab buns too, March 14, 21 & 28).
A small-batch collaboration between two local institutions, this is Easter done the Sydney way – bold, buttery and spiked with history.
